Kitchen Make Over

It doesn't always make sense to do a complete remodel but rather choose a "make over" approach. In this case, since there are still young kids at home, it was decided to paint the existing cabinets, tile the floor and counters. When the kids are less messy, then the remodel will make more sense financially and logistically. This kitchen above was a complete remodel from a 1970s kitchen with a wall separating the dining room and kitchen. It had never been updated! Darrell tore out the wall to create an open space and built an island complete with plenty of storage. Welcome to the 21st century!
The kitchen below was updated with tile floors to prepare the home to be listed. With fresh paint and flooring the house sold within a few days above asking price! An investment of $10,000 netted the owners significant more for their home. Definitely a smart investment!
